The Truth About Radon
What is Radon?
Radon is a gas that you cannot see or smell. It is a byproduct of the breakdown of uranium and radium. Homes in the Twin Cities are prone to having high levels of radon due to the high levels of uranium and radium that exist in the region. Radon is a naturally occurring colorless and odorless gas that comes from the soil. It is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking. Bonnie shares her story of battling lung cancer as a possible result of radon exposure.
Why is it Important to Test for Radon?
Radon has been linked to lung cancer and nothing is more important than the health of your family. Radon can be mitigated, but you have to know whether a home has a radon issue before you can mitigate it. No home – even new construction – is radon proof. The first step toward having peace of mind is scheduling your radon test. We’ll take care of the rest.
